Why should I book The Touch of Dimple Inc. for my wedding day?

Hiring a professional Makeup and Henna Artist for your wedding day is definitely important because you want to look your most beautiful in your photographs. This is not the day to attempt to do your own bridal makeup if you're not sure you'll do a good job, that's just too risky! These are photographs that will last a lifetime... they are records of your special day which you'll always look back to and which your future generations will see as well.

Dimple Shah is one of Toronto’s top make-up, hair and henna artists. She is experienced in all make-up media, henna-tattoo-mehendi and provides quality, professional, personalized service. She works with the industry’s top professionals and teaches make-up and henna artistry courses on regular basis. Most of all, she has passion for her work which shows in each and every application. What services do you provide?

Our professional make-up services include fashion, editorial, runway, special effects, theatre, TV, film, body painting, camouflage, make-up lessons, teen make-over parties, special events, advertising, music videos, corporate functions, and custom art designs.

We offer henna, tattoo, mehendi services for weddings, corporate events, fund raising events, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, Diwali, Karwachouth, Eid, Milni, film festivals.

Our Esthetics services include facials, waxing, body exfoliation, manicure, pedicure, threading, body massage, bleaching.

We also provide entertainment services like blooywood dance performances for your events. .

Do you offer a consultation?

Yes. An initial trial is a must. There is a small fee involved as well. The trial is usually for the bride only since this is the time she will discuss the makeup style she wants. Family and/or friends are more than welcome to be there to watch and share the moment.

What usually happens during a consultation?

Your ideas are crucial so that we can interpret them as best as we can. For best results, it's also a good idea that you bring pictures of the exact look you want. For example, you might want a natural look, but what we may know to be natural might not necessarily be natural to you. For that reason, it's best to see what you envision. Then we'd do your makeup...you'll be a princess that day as well as on your wedding day. Then when we’re finished, we guarantee you'll absolutely love it!

What makeup brands and products do you use?

We only use professional, hypoallergenic, long lasting make-up products including MAC, Cinema Secrets, Ben-Nye, Kryolan, as every brand out there carries something wonderful. We only use top of the line makeup brushes... their so amazingly soft!

Will my makeup last the whole day?

Yes! The professional makeup we use will last up to 12 hours. However, expect the usual minor touch-ups such as replenishing your lipstick and gently blotting any shine from your face once in a while. If we've put false lashes on you... we assure you that they won't fall off... they can stay on up to 2 full days.

Do you offer makeup applications for darker skin tones?

We have an extensive background and experience in working with different ethnic skin tones including Asian, Hispanic, Indian, African American and Mediterranean.

I don’t wear a lot of make-up but I still want to look good without looking and feeling “made up”

We've never met a bride that didn’t want to look beautiful on her wedding day. You don’t have to wear a lot of makeup in order to be beautiful, it just needs to be done correctly with the right products and appropriate for pictures

What about sanitation? Should I be worried?

It's always good to check and make sure your makeup artist is being sanitary at all times. A kit that looks tidy and organized is a great first sign. You should also take a good look at your artist's brushes, you can always automatically tell if they haven't been cleaned. We always begin applying makeup using a brand new sponge and sanitized brushes. With us as your makeup artist you will never have to worry about cross-contamination or the spread of bacteria and disease. We always start off with clean tools and then re-clean them after we’re done with the makeup.

How about the mehendi – henna?

Our Henna is specially selected from the best Henna plants grown in India and the Henna paste is especially handmade fresh to get the perfect blend of color. It has NO chemicals or dye added and is completely safe for children too.

What about the mehendi color?

As we only use fresh Henna paste the color of mehendi develops after few hours. We give detailed instructions of how to take care of your mehendi to get best color.

We have so many guests at our mehendi - henna party!!

No problems .. We have a team of henna artists personaly trained by Dimple Shah, so we make sure that we have extra help to finish your mehendi party on time and no one gets left to have their mehendi done. We can even send a henna artist to the groom's side, if they have their seperate henna party.

How do I book you for my wedding?

You’re required to put down a deposit to secure and guarantee your services for your date and time.

Who else can receive your services?

Your whole bridal party can! Even the groom might need a bit of a touch up. Whether it's to cover an imperfection or to reduce shine, he wants to look good too! Feel free to contact us regarding any other wedding/bridal related questions.

Do you provide services at a location of my choice?

All bridal services are offered on-location. We come to you! Trials are done in the studio.

*Please note that travel and parking fees will be applied..

What if my bridal party is getting ready in 2 separate locations?

We'll try our best to accommodate the bride as well as the bridal party by sending another artist to the second location.
